The use of physical factors (electric sleep, pulsed electromagnetic
field, bioelectrical stimulation, silt mud) in rehabilitation of patients
with different forms of cerebrovascular pathology headed by A.V.Musayev.
Summary
120 patients with cerebrovascular pathology were under observation. Out
of them 20 patients with primary signs of cerebral circulatory insufficiency,
48 with discirculatory encephalopathy, 52 with ischemic insult. We aim
the development of new methods of complex therapy of patients with cerebrovascular
pathology using electric sleep, pulsed electromagnetic field, muscular
bioelectrical stimulation and application with silt mud. The findings
demonstrated that the use of above said methods of therapy in this contingent
of patients enabled the correction of pathophysiological changes taking
place. The dynamics of clinical symptoms of a disease were associated
with the positive changes of the results of electrophysiological, neuropsychological
and biochemical investigations. Performed years 1995-1996.

low back osteochondrosis headed by A.V.Musayev, R.G.Zeynalov.
Summary
189 patients subdivided in 3 groups were under observation. The efficacy
of therapy had been studied through cliniconeurologic observations as
well as electrophysiologic investigations. Stage I therapy of group I
included interference current; group II received subsequent use of interference
current and decimetre waves. Stage II therapy included chloride-sodic
iodobromine baths and massage for both groups. Group III received subsequent
procedures of interference current and decimetre waves and also baths
and massage at the same day. The findings showed a high efficacy of new
methods developed by us: subsequent use of interference current and decimetre

The effect of cosmophysical factors on certain demographic values
and morbidity in Azerbaijan (1930-2000) headed by A.V.Musayev
Summary
The effect of solar activity on certain demographic values in Azerbaijan
from 1930 to 2000 was first studied via statistical materials: birth rate,
mortality, population growth, calls for emergency rescue, trauma and intoxication,
reasons of mortality, morbidity according to the main groups of a disease
was first studied. A certain parallelism between the increased solar activity
and mortality values, birth rate, population natural growth and between
the increased solar activity, number of patients, calls for emergency
rescue that confirms the information of A.L.Chizhevski of the effect of
cosmophysical factors on the terrestrial life was outlined. Considering
the results obtained for the improvement of demographic values and morbidity
reduction in Azerbaijan, it is required to develop the appropriate treatment-and-prophylactic
measures related to solar activity rate. Years performed 1997-1998.
